SACP disbandment in KwaZulu-Natal: Dr Alex Mashilo

The South African Communist Party has confirmed the disbandment of its KwaZulu-Natal Provincial structure. This comes after the meeting of the SACP's Political Bureau in the North West Province at the weekend. The SACP Politburo is the highest decision-making body of the Communist Party in between its Central Committee plenaries, and it discussed the economic, political and organisational situation facing the working class in the country. Speaking to SABC News, the party's Central Committee member, Dr Alex Mashilo said they found some weaknesses in their KZN provincial structure and dissolved it with the view of strengthening it.
