The South African Union of Students' (SAUS) have expressed concern about increasing reports that some students are using their National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) allowances for online gambling, raising questions about financial management and support for young people.

The issue has sparked debate about how to better protect student funds and promote responsible spending.
