South African School Draws Benefits From Solar Power

Just days after the South African electricity sector regulator announced a 9.4% increase in electricity prices, a small school near Johannesburg has started using solar power to run its operations. Pilot trials of this system were run in the Eastern Cape province late last year. The Gauteng Department of Education was then approached with a new way of providing solar electricity to off-grid schools. CCTV's Angelo Coppola, tells us how it worked out.
