Tensions between Morocco, Polisario Front as Sahrawi activists get life sentences

The Moroccan judiciary confirmed the life imprisonment sentences handed to Sahrawi activists found guilty of killing 11 members of Morocco's armed forces in 2010 in Western Sahara. This likely to increase tensions after a 29-year-old ceasefire was been broken recently between Morocco and the Polisario Front, the national liberation movement of the Sahrawi people. Freelance Columnist and Political Analyst Hamid Chriet told SABC News Algeria & Morocco must negotiate urgently to end the current conflict in Western Sahara before it escalates to full-scale war.
