Severe thunderstorms and hail have caused widespread damage and plunged the Tzaneen area in Limpopo into darkness.
The Greater Tzaneen local municipality says uprooted trees and sign posts have fallen on roads.
A hangar and houses in the Letsitele farming area were also affected. Other areas impacted include Tarentaalrand and Maake.
The municipal road maintenance team has been dispatched to these areas.
