Mental health conditions can cause distress to individuals and their loved ones.
Over the years, many have found comfort and support by seeking an unconventional way to overcome their emotional and mental challenges, by using Therapy dogs programmes.
Also known as "Fur Therapists", the dogs are trained to provide services to their handlers for a variety of conditions, including anxiety, dementia and depression.
This morning we are spending time with a couple of these therapy dogs and their handlers to learn more about their services and how much they contribute to an individual's healthy way of living.
We are also joined by Jacqui Martheze, Head of Strategy, Wellness, & Innovation at Paws@Work. Good morning.
