Uganda’s President, Yoweri Museveni, is encouraging local farmers to adopt climate-responsive farming methods in a bid to ward off the effects of climate change on the country's major cash crop, coffee. According to figures from the country's coffee agency, coffee exports dropped by 14 percent in September due to the prolonged drought.
