Uganda removes tariffs on Tanzanian rice imports

Uganda has removed all tariffs on rice imports from Tanzania as part of efforts to strengthen inter-regional trade.
Under the Common Market Treaty, members of the East African Community signed a pact to remove all trade barriers so as to increase economic integration and development.
