Western Cape Premier Alan Winde has until Friday to release a report on alleged links between police and gangs or face legal action. That's according to the Cape Crime Crisis Coalition.
The anti-crime organisation has accused Winde of holding back on the release of the report. The report was compiled by retired Major General Oswald Reddy more than three years ago, at the request of Winde.
This follows a damning judgment by Western Cape High Court Judge Daniel Thulare in which collusion between gangs and the top management of the SAPS was exposed.
For more on this matter, we are now joined by the Western Cape Premier Alan Winde and the Cape Crime Crisis Coalition chairperson, Doctor Llewellyn MacMaster.
