The MK Party has removed Colleen Makhubele as chief parliamentary whip with immediate effect, while retaining her as an MP. Brian Molefe is now the party's Treasurer-General. The party says that this is part of a leadership shake-up ordered by party leader Jacob Zuma to tighten discipline and consolidate authority in Parliament.
