In an era defined by fractured diplomacy and rising protectionism, global co-operation is not disappearing, but simply changing shape. This is according to the 2026 Global Co-operation Barometer, released by the World Economic Forum in collaboration with McKinsey & Company. The report found that despite continued fragmentation, geopolitical tensions and increasing trade barriers, global co-operation is proving resilient and is evolving rather than retreating.
