NPA head Advocate Shamila Batohi has told Parliament's Ad Hoc Committee she received intelligence suggesting rogue elements within the NPA, but refused to name her source.
Batohi said she informed Justice Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi and later met with President Cyril Ramaphosa about the claims.
After being summoned for clarification, Batohi admitted using the wrong words, saying it's not infiltration but isolated acts of sabotage by some prosecutors.
The committee also heard that lifestyle audits are being conducted on all prosecutors amid bribery and interference allegations
