Bester escape saga pre-trial hearing set for Friday

Another pre-trial hearing of the Thabo Bester escape saga is set for Friday, 5th of December at the Free State High Court. In the last appearance, both Bester and his co-accued, Dr Nandipha Magudumana told the court about pending matters which might have a bearing on the trial.
Magudumana, her father Zolile Sekeleni, and former prison guards Senohe Matsoara, Teboho Lipholo and Tieho Makhotsa and others face various charges including aiding Bester to escape from prison, arson and violating a corpse. The charges relate to Bester's escape from the Mangaung prison in May 2022.
