The City of Johannesburg has been ordered to complete a verification and registration process for informal traders within two weeks. This follows a court ruling that affirmed the metro's authority to regulate street trading while protecting traders' rights. For more on this we are now joined by Johannesburg Public Safety MMC Dr Mgcini Tshwaku, and Volchere Kgekwane who is the CEO of the National Black Business Caucus.
