The process of verifying residents affected by the massive informal settlement fire in Du Noon, Cape Town, continues while residents scramble to rebuild their homes. The fire, which ripped through the Site 5 informal settlement, has destroyed over a thousand dwellings, and it's estimated that over three thousand people have been affected. Community leaders are concerned that people who lost their Identity documents and birth certificates in the fire will not be able to access much-needed services promptly.
