East Lynne residents, east of Pretoria, have been without electricity for 12 days now. This has led to growing frustration, especially among residents with loved ones who rely on electricity to power medical equipment. The prolonged outage, which has also impacted businesses, follows a fire that broke out at the Koedoespoort Sub-Station. Residents and businesses say the City of Tshwane has failed to provide clear communication on when power will be restored. They have threatened to protest to express their frustrations.
