The South African Weather Service has issued warnings for severe thunderstorms and extreme weather conditions across several parts of the country.

These include the risk of flooding, lightning, and extreme heat, with provinces such as Gauteng, Limpopo, and parts of Mpumalanga expected to be affected.

Joining us to unpack these warnings and speak on the state of readiness is Dr Bongani Elias Sithole - Head of the National Disaster Management Center.
