Leader of the Mayibuye Africa Party, Floyd Shivambu has called for the establishment of a Commission of Inquiry into Black Poverty. He was addressing party members in Midrand, north of Johannesburg at a public engagement to give a progress report on the fledgling party's progress to build itself. The party which says its mission is to achieve "Total Freedom and Emancipation Now" champions issues such as land redistribution, industrialisation, decolonised education and respect for traditional leadership amongst others. Shivambu says that there is a need for South Africa to focus on development rather than what he refers to a palace politics. Here's party leader, Floyd Shivambu.
