Law enforcers and emergency services personnel in Gauteng say they are satisfied with the outcome of their Safer Festive Season Operation, including the New Year crossover, which they classified as incident-free.

Police were deployed to areas known for high levels of violent crime, including Hillbrow, while JMPD officers focused mainly on major highways and enforcing the city's by-laws.

Emergency services say they noticed better compliance this time around.
