Ivory Coast election: Ruling party, opposition trying to ease tensions

The President of Ivory Coast and the main opposition leader have pledged to work together to diffuse violent protests sparked by October's disputed election.

Alassane Ouattara's decision to run for a third term, which he won with 94 pe cent of the vote, led to accusations he violated term limits.
