The Johannesburg Emergency Management Services says their disaster monitoring teams, fire stations, and aquatic rescue units are on high alert as persistent rains continue in and around Johannesburg. Officials have also cautioned residents to stay indoors if they do not have any emergencies to attend to. No casualties have been reported thus far.
