Lands Ministry to degazette Mt. Elgon national park

The cabinet has directed the ministry of lands to de-gazette Mt. Elgon National Park to give 8,250 hectares of land to the people evicted by the Uganda Wildlife Authority in Sebei region. The ministry of lands has also been directed to compensate all people in other districts who are still living in the park to leave. This was disclosed in the meeting between ministry of lands, UWA and district leaders from 2 regions of Bugisu and Sebei under Mt. Elgon national park. #NTVNews #NTVTonight #NTVWeekendEdition
