Khumalo also revealed that members of the Political Killings Task Team were furious about the wording of a letter circulated online on New Year's Day last year, which described them as "valueless" despite their efforts in tackling politically-motivated crimes.
He said he was inundated with calls from angry members of the PKTT unit.
Khumalo said he had no idea the PKTT was going to be disbanded.
