The Madlanga Commission has heard of the insidious lengths suspended EMPD Police Chief, Julius Mkhwanazi allegedly went to, in a bid to legitimise Vusimuzi "Cat" Matlala's company, CAT VIP Protection Services' so-called agreement with the City of Ekurhuleni in what has been described as a "cover-up". This time from the vantage point of the City's former Head of Employee Relations, Xolani Nciza who listed the red flags in Mkhwanazi's alleged conduct. This informed the decision to extend Mkhwanazi's suspension and this raised former city manager, Dr. Imogen Mashazi's ire. SABC News Senior Reporter Canny Maphanga filed this report.
