Retired Ekurhuleni City Manager Dr Imogen Mashazi will this morning return to the Madlanga Commission.
She's been grilled over allegations that she protected now suspended deputy police chief Julius Mkhwanazi from any disciplinary action.
An IPID report that recommended that Mkhwanazi be charged and disciplined for gross misconduct was referred to the head of legal but nothing was apparently done.
Meanwhile, Police Minister Senzo Mchunu is set to appear before the commission this afternoon.
Mchunu was placed on a leave of absence in July this year, following KZN Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi's allegation that Mchunu unlawfully disbanded the Political Killings Task Team.
