The Eastern Cape's matric class of 2025 recorded a pass rate of 84.17%, a decline from the 84,98% in 2024, leaving the province at the bottom in the national standings.
The results did, however, contribute to a strong national showing of a record 88% pass rate overall in last year's National Senior Certificate examinations.
