Firefighting efforts are continuing in parts of Mossel Bay in the Western Cape, after fast-moving wildfires destroyed multiple homes, vehicles and large areas of vegetation overnight. Crews are still battling flare-ups, as strong winds and dry conditions continue to fuel hotspots. Three firefighters sustained injuries and one was admitted to hospital for smoke inhalation.
