Mpumalanga police officer Joyce Ngomane laid to rest

43-year-old police officer Sergeant Joyce Ngomane was laid to rest today in Nkomazi, Mpumalanga.

She was stabbed to death at her homestead in Nkomazi allegedly by her husband on Tuesday night after an altercation.

It is alleged the couple had been facing marital challenges since 2018.

Ngomane was murdered a week after the launch of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.

Her husband - a teacher appeared in the Nkomazi Magistrate's Court and the matter was adjourned to Tuesday.
