Nelson Mandela Bay | 90 learners and teachers evacuated as a precaution

Woodridge School in the Eastern Cape has indicated that authorities have contained the that threatened the area under control, and there is no need for evacuation at this stage, however horses have been moved from the property as a precautionary measure. Nelson Mandela Bay emergency services also indicated that they are working around the clock to break a fire that was threatening the precinct. Strandfontein road in Summerstrand which was closed due to dense smoke and fire close to the road has since been opened and firefighters are monitoring the area for possible flare-ups.
