New HIV treatment drug welcomed in the Eastern Cape

The introduction of a new HIV treatment drug with fewer side effects and resistance to other ARV's has been welcomed in the Eastern Cape.

The province is ranked the third highest in the country of people living with HIV. The issue of not taking medicine regularly and completing courses has become a major challenge.
