All 18 presidential candidates in Nigeria’s general election signed a peace pledge ahead of the February 25 election. Thursday's action was the second such peace deal signed by the candidates and is designed to prevent unrest. As part of Thursday's pledge, they agreed to accept the outcome of the vote, or go through the courts to address any grievances. Similar peace pacts have been made since 2015.
