KwaZulu-Natal Premier Thamsanqa Ntuli says he supports the renewal of Provincial Police Commissioner Lieutenant General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi's contract for a second term, citing his leadership and contributions to improving policing in the province.
Ntuli said that Mkhwanazi has brought stability to the police service, enhanced teamwork among officers, and strengthened the fight against crime, with statistics reflecting a decline.
The premier also said that KwaZulu-Natal requires police leadership marked by integrity and commitment, qualities he believes are essential for tackling crime and restoring public confidence.
