Nurses and doctors across the country had their hands full delivering Christmas babies across the country.
Free State Premier Maqueen Letsoha-Mathae says, the province has welcomed its first 2025 Christmas baby at Pelonomi Hospital in Bloemfontein today, joining government delegates nationwide in celebrating the miracle of life with new mothers.
Meanwhile, Gauteng Health MEC Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko has confirmed the birth of six infants at Thelle Mogoerane Regional Hospital in Vosloorus as part of the Christmas celebrations.
In the North West, 31 Christmas babies have been born across the province so far today while in KwaZulu-Natal by ten this morning, 74 babies -39 girls and 35 boys- had been delivered.
The Eastern Cape province recorded 66 Christmas babies and in Mpumalanga 33 Christmas babies - 18 males and 15 females.
