Promaths, a South African education initiative that provides extra after-school tutoring in Mathematics and Physical Science for Grade 10-12 learners from disadvantaged communities says it has found that there is a big gap of under qualified mats and science teachers in the country.

This came out at the Promaths 20 years celebration that took place early October 2025.

The initiative was founded by Investec and the Guglan Center also known as the Kutlwanong Centre.
