* The search for a soldier whose vehicle was swept away in Mpumalanga continues. The body of his colleague was recovered yesterday. The two had attempted to cross a flooded river when the incident occured. The vehicle they were travelling in has been retrieved from the river.

* Disaster management teams are on the ground assessing the damage in three municipalities in the KwaZulu-Natal midlands following severe storms in the area. Three people were injured and at least 150 households affected.
