* Three people, including a one-year old child died, and three others were injured when a double-storey building collapsed in Doornkop, Soweto in the early hours of this morning. Three other people who were trapped in the rubble, were rescued and taken to hospital.

* Three suspects allegedly linked to gang-related murders and attempted murder cases on the Cape Flats will appear in court tomorrow.
They were arrested during overnight raids in Manenberg, Athlone, and Mitchells Plain as part of the police's efforts to curb gang violence.

* A draw will see them through to the Africa Cup of Nations Round of 16 tomorrow but Bafana Bafana are looking for a win against Zimbabwe as a victory will be a confidence boost heading into the knockout stage.
