* Residents of Zwartenbosch in the Kouga municipality in the Eastern Cape have been ordered to immediately evacuate as wildfires continue to ravage the area.
The N2 between Jeffreys Bay and Humansdorp has also been closed to traffic due to dense smoke.

* ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa says despite its challenges, the ANC remains a special organisation in South Africa.
The ANC commemorates 114 years of its existence today but its main celebrations will take place at the Moruleng stadium on Satuday.

* The SACP has called for protests across the globe to exert pressure on U.S. President, Donald Trump to release Venezuelan President, Nicolas Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores.
The SACP and other civil society organisations staged a protest outside the US embassy in Pretoria.

* The alleged landlord of a hijacked property in Bryanston, Johannesburg was arrested today during a raid on the property.
Ten individuals both South African citizens and foreign nationals were found occupying the property during the crackdown.
