Bhekumuzi Mike Sandlana, a leader of a faction of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church, is back in the Pretoria Specialised Commercial Crimes Court for judgment on his bail application.

Sandlana is accused of attempting to bribe Pretoria High Court Judge Portia Phahlane to secure a ruling in his favour in the long running leadership succession battle within the International Pentecostal Holiness Church.

The dispute, which has split the church into rival factions for years, has been marked by allegations of intimidation, financial misconduct and court challenges over who should legitimately lead the multi million rand church. Sandlana denies the bribery allegations.
