IPHC faction leader Bhekumuzi Mike Sandlana has been denied bail in the Pretoria Specialised Commercial Crimes Court.
Sandlana is accused of attempting to bribe Pretoria High Court Judge Priscilla Madiba to secure a ruling in his favour in the long running leadership succession battle within the International Pentecostal Holiness Church.
The dispute, which has split the church into rival factions for years, has been marked by allegations of intimidation, financial misconduct and court challenges over who should legitimately lead the multi million rand church.
Sandlana denies the bribery allegations.
