A family at Applesbosch near the Ndwedwe area in KwaZulu-Natal, is suspecting foul play following the death of a relative at the local hospital. This after an allegation that 3 nurses from Appelsbosch Hospital north of Durban fraudulently took out 4 insurance policies on 24-year-old Nduduzo Mbhatha.
They received payouts of over R160 000 after he died in hospital. The family says only the three nurses attended to him, raising further suspicion about the circumstances surrounding his death.
They have lodged a complaint with the department of health that the young man's life was fraudulently insured without their knowledge or consent.
