The Ad Hoc committee, investigating allegations of criminal infiltration, corruption and political interference, is set to enter the second phase of its hearings, with a series of high-profile witnesses expected to testify next week.

Evidence Leader Adv Norman Arendse has named senior police officials, investigators and private individuals among those to be called. The witness list includes former National Police Commissioner Khomotso Phahlane, former IPID head Robert McBride, private investigator Paul O'Sullivan, businessman Brown Mogotsi, and suspended EMPD Deputy Chief Julius Mkhwanazi.
The hearings are scheduled to run over three weeks, from 13 to 30 January.
