The Deputy Minister for Traditional Affairs, Prince Burns Ncamashe has called on parents to prioritise their children's health needs instead of focusing their attention on celebrations when their children return from initiation schools.

Ncamashe was conducting an oversight visit at initiation schools in the Eastern Cape.

These visits come as 17 initiates have lost their lives during the summer initiation period.
