While tens of thousands of people are enjoying their holiday in the Western Cape, Traffic authorities have been working around the clock.

As the end of the festive season approach, the majority of people leaving and returning to the province, will do so on the N1 highway.

Drunk driving, fatigue and driver behaviour are among the leading causes of fatal accidents.

Western Cape Traffic Law Enforecement has issued a stern warning that current operations will be further intensified in the next week.
