However, Mpumalanga traffic authorities have expressed concern over an increase in fatalities in the province.
Seventy-six people have died on provincial roads since the start of December 2025, compared to 54 over the same period last year.
Meanwhile, traffic volumes have picked up on the N4 connecting Gauteng with Mpumalanga and Mozambique.
