The eThekwini Municipality says it has conducted additional tests to guarantee the safety and cleanliness of Durban's popular beaches

This follows the temporary closure of four beaches earlier this week after pollution was detected.

The affected beaches are Blue Lagoon, eThekwini, Country Club, and Battery Beach.

Head of Recreation and Parks, Dr Simphiwe Ndlovu, says the municipality is prioritising public health and environmental safety.
