The ANC in KwaZulu-Natal has refuted claims of political instability in party structures in the uMkhanya-kude district. This after the party instructed its former mayor S'phile Mdaka to resign, after he was elected as deputy mayor on Thursday. The ANC in the province says the decision to field a candidate for the position of deputy mayor was not endorsed by the provincial leadership.
