A forum referring to itself as SaveUnisa is calling on The Vice-Chancellor of the University of South Africa, Professor Puleng LenkaBula's resignation.
The Vice-Chancellor has recently been accused of abusing her position with her academic credentials coming under scrutiny.
This is despite her being reappointed for a second term late last year, a year before her first term ended. In recent years the university has been plagued by controversy, including allegations of purging senior staff members as well as claims of financial maladministration with close to 200 million rands in legal fees alone.
The university has reiterated its stance saying the allegations are a rehash of baseless and unfounded allegations. And that the purpose of these allegations is to cast aspersions on the integrity of the university leadership, especially Council and the Principal and Vice-Chancellor
We are now joined by Professor Boitumelo Senokoane , Acting Executive Director- Department of Institutional Advancement at Unisa.
