Police Minister Senzo Mchunu, currently on special leave, has raised concerns before the Madlanga Commission about the use of force by the Police Killings Task Team.
In his evidence in chief, Mchunu said that while it is possible for police to carry out operations without violating human rights, there have been complaints from some individuals about PKTT members conducting operations while wearing balaclavas, raising questions about transparency and accountability.
