Police Minister Senzo Mchunu says the aim of his disbandment of the Political Killings Task Team was to incorporate it into broader murder and robbery units.

Incorporating a specialised task team into broader, permanent units requires a structured transition for which he earlier said he had no detailed plan.

Mchunu is under cross-examination at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry in Pretoria
