Police Minister Senzo Mchunu has told the Madlanga Commission that he was the one who raised concerns about Lieutenant General Dumisani Khumalo holding a dual role.
Mchunu emphasised that the position of Head of Crime Intelligence is demanding on its own and questioned the practicality of combining it with other responsibilities.
He added that he was unaware that Lieutenant General Shadrack Sibiya had also raised similar concerns with National Commissioner Fannie Masemola.
